Surbiton Martial Arts has a wide range of students some of started in the their 40s and 50s and have kicked and punched   their way to being senior grades and Sprint instructors of Surbiton Martial Arts .

“I took up kickboxing with sprint martial arts in April 2011 so am still very much a beginner. I was looking for a way to get fit and fight off the encroaching spare tyre. What i have found is rather more engrossing. Sprint martial arts is a friendly environment everyone is warm and welcoming and although you are encouraged to take things at your own pace the workouts are intense demanding sessions.
I now do more sessions per week than i had planned to do because the sessions seem to be increasing my energy levels rather than depleting them”

I joined Sprint Martial Arts in December 2010 – mostly because I wanted to lose some weight.

I’d done some Kung Fu when I was a teenager, and didn’t enjoy it very much. But when I found out about Sprint Martial Arts, I decided to give it a go.
... If I’m honest, I was expecting to hate it – but I was willing to force myself to do it, at least once a week, if only for the exercise.
I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed my first class. I couldn’t wait for my legs to stop aching so I could go back again.

The instructors are brilliant. Even when I’m doing something wrong, they have a way of giving advice and pointers on my technique without making me feel like I’m being singled out or criticized.

A year later, and thanks to kickboxing at Sprint Martial Arts, combined with getting my diet right, and spending more time in the gym, I’m now in the best shape of my life.
In total I’ve lost 7st since last year & just over 8 inches off my waist.

No matter what kind of day I’ve had at work, I always enjoy the kickboxing classes in the evening, and the Saturday class is a firm favourite - it means I can have a beer on Saturday night completely guilt free!

“I've been attending Surbiton Martial Arts for about a year and at the risk of sounding cliched I can honestly say it's been life changing. Its friendly, supportive, collaborative environment has really motivated me to push myself and even at my grand old age of 43, I feel more fit, more flexible and more fantastic than ever before. The regular gradings mean there's always an achievable goal to look forward to and the atmosphere created by both the instructors and fellow students is amazing”
